If there is one thing we know its tea and cake - and we know bad tea and cake! Our mission, conceived over a not so great afternoon tea, is to sample and review all the afternoon teas we can find in and around the area - tough job! We are both lucky enough to have experienced THE afternoon tea - Tea at the Ritz - so the bench mark has been set! OK we are not expecting to find a tea quite like this but Tea at the Ritz consists of exquisite food, 5* service, incredible ambience and exceptional value for money - and so these are the criterior we chose to judge our teas.
Unfortunately, it was a not so good afternoon tea that sparked the idea. This was at Ettington Park Hotel nr Stratford Upon Avon where we experienced less than exquisite food, crappy service, zero ambience and little value for money! And is the subject of our first review....
